Cara's Zone Success

I don't have too much more to say than I already said in my previous post, but basically:

I've been on the Zone for one month. In that month I've lost a total of 10lbs (down to 172), and one pants size (from a size 14 to a size 12). I also got in my first pull-up!! My energy level has been steady, and I generally feel more capable during the workouts. I'm rarely wanting for food - especially once I figured out how to eat chocolate and stay in the Zone! :)

I wonder what another month will bring!

Thank you!!

Where's your Zone Story? :) You've been Zoning longer than I have!

My zone story is non-existant. I just haven't dialed in. Still, perfect during the day, but dinner time is always a failure. That is especially if I am not eating at home.

maybe you should pass along those chocolate recipes!

For 1-block chocolate milk:

1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon of ovalteen
1 tablespoon of protein powder

Blend and enjoy!

Also:
1/2 block of semi-sweet bakers chocolate
1oz your favorite cheese
2 strawberries

I like to melt the cheese, and dip the chocolate and strawberries in it. I use cheddar. This also comes out to 1 block total.

isn't that 2 pant sizes...

Cara said...

Technically, yes - but it's rare to find a pant size "13" - it usually goes 12, then 14. Go figure.

Women's sizes go even numbers (Junior sizes use odd numbers). And then designer jeans throw us off and use inches (waist) but it's not necessarily true because it also depends on the rise.

This is why we spend so much time in the dressing room and why shopping is a sport. :)

Also, a full pant size is a huge change in your body, Cara. It's easy to fit into the same pants and go up and down in weight by at least 7+ pounds. Just goes to show all that lean muscle you're building is really tightening you up. Hot Tamale!

Wow...very educational!

Thx for that explanation Georgia, I feel like that is info I'll need in future shopping trips with my girlz.

...and Cara...Love that sweet little Zone Treat!

Georgia, thank you for finally sitting down and explaining why when we go shopping we need to go in prepared... it's sort of a marathon... :) I'd also just like to throw out my own personal observation and say that it also depends on what the pants are made out of. Do they have any stretch do they not? All can affect sizing... it truly can be an event to find pants. Regardless, losing a size still feels good! Way to go Cara! Danny, I'm glad you were able to get an education... ;)
